Freedom of Information Act
Public Act 96-0542, the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requires public bodies to make public records available to anyone for inspection or copying. There are certain exemptions (exclusions) and rules governed by the Act.

To request information under FOIA from VALEES:
- Print the FOIA request form.
- Complete and sign your FOIA request form.
- Submit your completed FOIA request form in one of the following ways:
- Mail or deliver the form to VALEES, Bldg. A, Rm. 116, Rt. 47 at Waubonsee Drive,
Sugar Grove, IL 60554
- Fax the form to (630) 466-9621
Please note that the VALEES office is open during the academic year and closed during the summer months. VALEES follows the Kaneland Unit School District 302 academic calendar. Regular business hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Open Meetings Information
The Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120) provides that all meetings of public bodies shall be open to the public unless excepted by specific provisions of the act.

Coordinating Council Meeting Dates
FY20 Budget Hearing. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. - Waubonsee Community College, Sugar Grove Campus, Building A Room 161. Budget is available at the Kane County Regional Office of Education for inspection.
The VALEES Coordinating Council meets at 8:00 a.m. on the Waubonsee Community College, Sugar Grove Campus.
