Professional development in the VALEES region focuses on promoting:

  • CTE programs that prepare students for success in a rapidly changing 21st century economy that requires more workers with technical skills
  • collaboration among CTE instructors to share ideas and instructional strategies
  • development of higher level technical skills
  • instructional best practices to link CTE curricula and academics
  • high level problem solving and innovative thinking within CTE curricula

Building Partnerships for America's Future Institute

This annual Career and Technical Education conference includes content strands in career pathways development, technical skill development, college and career readiness initiatives, social emotional learning, business partnerships, and teaching and learning.
